: JUPITER MEETS PLUTO ACROSS THE ABYSS

It’s Moon Day. Shiva’s Day. The Moon is very dark getting ready for a new cycle in Taurus this Saturday lit by Uranus! Pluto just stationed retrograde in the Shravana Nakshatra teaching us all to listen deeply to our karmic lessons. In Western astrology, Pluto falls at 5 degrees Aquarius, so note where you have planets in the early degrees of fixed signs. A big purgation is taking place. For me literally, as I just wrapped up a mini Panchakarma for the past 2.5 weeks, ending with a 5 hour purgation session. I am supposed to drink a cup of warm water every 30 minutes, which is weirdly impossible for me, the queen of multiple beverages. But I will never figure out why I can’t drink plain water. So here we are. The good news is I finally have some time on my hands!

We just wrapped up my last P40: PATTERNS: Fight, Flight, Freeze, Fawn devoted to the healing art of Emma Kunz and art as medicine and oracle. But right now I am already working on the next P40 MEMOIR III: The Black Books slated for June 19th to carry us through the upcoming Mercury, Neptune, and Saturn retrogrades and to prepare for the August eclipses. Something is moving in the deep.

You may have felt it since last week as a pressure building beneath the surface of ordinary life, a sense that the ground is shifting in ways that make it impossible to make decisions let alone plans! That is Pluto retrograde, which stationed on May 6th and will move backward through Capricorn in the tropical sky, and through Sravana Nakshatra in the Vedic, the nakshatra of listening, of Vishnu’s cosmic ear pressed to the ground of the world, hearing all of the subtext, half-truths, and twists of fate.

Pluto retrograde is a time for going under. For letting what has been buried begin its slow, insistent rise toward consciousness. It is preparation, whether we know it or not, for the most significant planetary event of this entire summer.

On July 20th, 2026, Jupiter and Pluto oppose each other: Jupiter in Leo in the tropical zodiac, Pluto in Aquarius. In the Vedic framework, Jupiter will be moving through Pushya Nakshatra and Pluto through Sravana. Heaven and the Underworld, face to face. The god of expansion and meaning across the abyss from the god of death, transformation, and hidden power.
